The Large backpack has a button flap and the Medium backpack has a longer flap which covers the drawstring opening. This is an easy to make project for yourself or for gifts! This is very similar to the "designer quilted bags" that are popular today.

Fabric: For LARGE backpack, you will need the following:

1 yd. double-faced quilted fabric

1/2 yd. coordinating border print

One ¾" button (for large bag)

1 yd. decorative cording (note: if cording is narrow, it may be doubled or

tripled to create enough width.)

For MEDIUM backpack, you will need the following:

7/8 yd. Double-faced quilted fabric

1/2 yd. Coordinating border print

Coordinating thread
